Democratic Left Alliance (DLA) organized a protest procession yesterday (2 August 2009) in Dhaka against Tipaimukh Dam and lease of gas block of deep sea. But police was tried to stop our procession. Police can't explain the reason but they attacked on procession. Though, they finally failed to stop.

We have criticized about police attack on democratic movement and today we declared a protest procession against police attack at 5 August.

Sabha organized a rally in Laharhat in Barisal district. Thousands of
landless people, mostly women took part in the rally. The rally
demanded the proper distribution of Khasland among the genuine
landless people, to the government.

There are plenty of Khaslands in Barisal district by which the
landless people will go for decisive struggle in the years to come.
