Bangladesh – On July 27 this year, the Bangladesh Krishok Federation (BKF) and Bangladesh Kishani Sabha (BKS) joined the event to commemorate the “Memorial Day for Mother Zaida. Various activists from the local cross-sections participated in the commemoration. BKF President, Badurl Alam took part in the procession with slogans on right to land.

Mobilize the People to Resist Exploitation and Oppression Amidst the Protracted Global Depression, State Terrorism and Wars of Aggression”!
The 4th International Assembly of the ILPS marks a milestone as it celebrates its ten years of existence. It was a resounding success.
Manila, Philippines - The International League of Peoples Struggle (ILPS) Commission 6, Asian Peasant Coalition (APC) and Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP) organizes the ILPS commission 6 workshop held on July 7 and July 8, 2011 carrying the theme “Agrarian Reform and the Rights of Peasants, Farm Workers and Fisherfolks against Feudal, Semi-feudal and Capitalist Exploitation and Oppression.”
The event was attended by 43 participants from 13 countries namely the Philippines, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Sri Lanka, The Netherlands, USA, Australia, Venezuela, Kenya, Denmark and Pakistan.
The People’s Coalition on Food Sovereignty (PCFS), member of the BetterAid Coordinating Group, led the process of organizing the thematic consultations on aid and development effectiveness in agriculture and rural development (ARD). This initiative was participated by national, sub- regional, regional and international platforms and support NGOs engaged in issues on food and ARD.

The FIDC Asia Regional Forum is conceived to facilitate the establishment of a Regional Platform for Asia, which discussed mechanisms of coordination and preparation for the VI FIDC in 2012.

The People’s Speak Out for Right to Land and Life is part of the International Festival for Peoples’ Rights and Struggles (IFPRS) held on July 5-6, 2011 in the Philippines. The pre-4th International League of Peoples’ Struggle (ILPS) activity is the only mass action during the two-day festival.
